This application is intended for the use of qualified renewable energy producers desiring to generate electricity for the NC GreenPower program. This document is an application and not an agreement. All applications received are subject to review by NC GreenPower. No agreement may be completed between a small solar or wind producer and NC GreenPower without receipt of this producer application.

Applications for generation for small solar pv and wind under this application must meet the following conditions:

  • The system is a small solar photovoltaic (PV) or wind system with a generating capacity of 10 kW or less.
  • The system is interconnected or in the process of being interconnected with the local electric utility servicing the site.
  • The system is supplying to the North Carolina power grid.
  • The system is not participating in a net metering program.

Additional resources and capacities not meeting the requirements of this application may be eligible for inclusion in NC GreenPower through the standard bidding process used for solicitation of generation for the program. Please visit the NC GreenPower website for update on the bidding process.
