NC GreenPower Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) are accepted by the NC Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council for LEED Green Power Credit points. Now you can support renewable energy generated right here in North Carolina – a true "buy local" option. And, NC GreenPower is an independent, nonprofit 501(c)3 organization so your purchase may be tax deductible as a charitable contribution. A LEED Green Power Credit for your project, and a cleaner environment for North Carolina, in one simple step.

The program allows customers to commit additional funds for one or more 100 kWh blocks of renewable electricity. Your contributions are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law and will fund the generation of cleaner energy from renewable resources across the state.
