Request for Proposals

NC GreenPower announces a new Request for Proposals (RFP) for purchasing Renewable Energy Credits (RECs) produced in North Carolina. 

All bids are due by June 1, 2012 by 5:00 PM Eastern Daylight Savings Time (EDST) to be considered under this Request for Proposals.

We prefer that bids be submitted via our online form and must be received by 5:00 PM Eastern Daylight Savings Time (EDST) on June 1, 2012.

If you are unable to complete the online form above, there are three other options for submitting bids:

  • For electronic delivery, please e-mail to bids@ncgreenpower.org by 5:00 PM Eastern Daylight Savings Time (EDST) on June 1, 2012.
  • Bids may be delivered in person or via courier by 5:00 PM Eastern Daylight Savings Time (EDST) on June 1, 2012 to the address below.
  • Bids may also be sent by U.S. Mail and must be postmarked on or before June 1, 2012; proposals may be sent to:

Please review the RFP bidder instructions on our website by clicking here. NC GreenPower will confirm eligibility of your proposal by June 22, 2012. The NC GreenPower Resource Committee will review proposals and decisions will likely be made mid- to late-June. We anticipate award notification by July 20, 2012. If you have a question that you don’t see answered on our website, please submit your question to the NC GreenPower Resource Manager via email at bids@ncgreenpower.org. When questions are relevant for other bidders, we will also post answers to these questions on our website

Please note that bids to NC GreenPower are competitive. Besides the published fixed premium for small solar PV (5 kW and less) and small wind systems (10 kW or less), NC GreenPower cannot provide pricing information on your project or share pricing information from other projects.
