Green up!
Looking for some ideas on saving energy?
- Installing solar panels on your roof can dramatically decrease your energy bill. Find out more at www.findsolar.com
- Furnace and air conditioning: replacing filters monthly and receiving annual service calls will increase
the life span of your equipment.
- Air vents. Improve your home's airflow by moving furniture and window treatments away from vents.
- Replace old furnaces or air-conditioning units (10 years or older) with ENERGY STAR (tm) rated systems installed by a certified HVAC contractor.
- According to the American Water Works Assoc, if all U.S. houses had water-saving features, we could
save 5.4 billion gallons of water per day.
- Freshwater animals (about half of our 573 threatened & endangered species) are disappearing at a
rate 4-6 times those of land or sea.
