Did you ever wonder where we get electricity? It comes from big
power plants that make the electricity that lets us turn on lights,
watch TV, run the air conditioner or heat our homes.
Right now, nuclear and fossil fuels are primarily used to make
our electric power. NC GreenPower will help us find other ways of
making electricity.
Electricity that is made from natural resources like the wind,
sun and water. The electricity isn’t really green –
but this kind of electricity is cleaner. So North Carolina can stay
green and beautiful.
