Topsail Beach: NC GreenPower's first green powered town
    by Maribeth Weakland

Topsail Beach is North Carolina's first town to sponsor NC GreenPower. The town is contributing 14 percent of its total annual electrical usage, which qualifies them for friend-level sponsorship in the NC GreenPower program.

Their decision to support NC GreenPower is consistent with other local conservation efforts, including dune preservation, community enhancement and shoreline protection. Topsail Beach is a family-oriented town located on the southern end of Topsail Island, off the coast of North Carolina. Find out more about corporate sponsorship or call 866-533-NCGP to find out how your organization can support
    NC GreenPower.

Power your next event with renewable energy from NC GreenPower
    by Maribeth Weakland

Show attendees how committed you are to promoting environmental sustainability by powering your next event with NC GreenPower. Purchasing renewable energy blocks from NC GreenPower can reduce the emissions that would otherwise be produced by burning fossil fuels to generate energy.

NC GreenPower can help you calculate the amount of kilowatt hours that your event requires, and provide you with the number of blocks of NC GreenPower needed to make your event 100 percent green powered. You also will receive a certificate to display at your event to promote your support of cleaner energy homegrown here in North Carolina.

Organizations that have already sponsored events powered by
NC GreenPower include Appalachian State University’s Energy Center, N.C. Home Builders Association, N.C. Solar Center, N.C. State Energy Office, N.C. Sustainable Building Design Competition, N.C. Sustainable Energy Association, Southface and Students United for a Responsible Global Environment (SURGE).

Learn more about how you can power your event with renewable energy from NC GreenPower.
